デザインコンセプト：

当初はラグビーチームのエンブレムデザインやラグビーボールにアイテムをコラージュするというような、デザインが主になる案を念頭に置いていました。
中には良いものもありましたがラグビーワールドカップなど日本の、世界のファンの盛り上がりを考えるとミクロな視点ではなく何かスケールの大きな熱量を感じる躍動感を装丁で表現できないかと考えました。
イラストレーターの越井隆さんに沸騰するスタジアムをテーマに依頼し見事な大作を仕上げていただけました。
スタジアムの歓声が聞こえてくるようなイラスト、その温かみで
ワクワクするような装丁に仕上げる事ができたと思います。

Design concept:

In the beginning, I intended to collage emblems and some items of rugby teams on a rugby ball.

There were some good ideas in there but considering the excitement of fans in Japan and around the world, I thought I could express a sense of dynamism in the binding, a sense of heat on a large scale.

Based on these ideas, Mr. Takashi Koshii, illustrator created a splendid and dynamic illustration on the theme of a boiling stadium, which you can almost hear the cheers of the games.

I think we were able to create an exciting binding.
